About Ben

Growing up in South Florida, Ben spent most of his time around the ocean. Whether it was boating, fishing, or spending time on docks, he's always been drawn to water. Outdoor lighting became a growing passion for Ben. With experience in the landscaping industry, he has spent time repairing and designing outdoor lighting fixtures and came to the conclusion that they do not last. From fixtures being knocked over, bulbs or LEDs not lasting their true life, or being weathered to the point that they fall apart over the years, he knew that there must be a better solution. 

Ben’s passion for outdoor lighting and boating life is what led him to the creation of the LED dock piling light cap. Ben spent the majority of his career working in South Florida and specializes in electrical engineering. 

He currently resides in Saint Augustine, Florida where he still enjoys spending time around boats, docks, and historic Florida landmarks with his family.
